In questo periodo di lotta fratricida in Europa, dove giustamente la Grecia ricorda i danni di guerra subiti, mi viene da pensare a tutti gli espropri fatti alle famiglie ebree in Germania e alle leggi razziali in Italia... anche per queste politiche scellerate, che fecero danni, ingiustizie e tanti morti, non è mai stato reso un centesimo agli espropriati e ai morti ammazzati nei campi di sterminio.
La mia famiglia era a Berlino durante il periodo di Hitler: cinque persone persero la vita nei campi di sterminio: furono loro epropriate l'attività economica e tutte le proprietà. Erano persone colte e ricche, producevano immagini con le macchine fotografiche. Le vacanze le passavano sulle valli innevate della Svizzera (e questo già nell'Ottocento).
Si salvarono per miracolo perchè un nonno aveva il passaporto inglese. Quel nonno, da imprenditore della fotografia che era, si ritrovò a campare in Inghilterra aggiustando ombrelli e orologi.
Mio suocero, che era suo figlio, fece il servizio militare per il Regno Unito ed è sempre stato attivista per i diritti umani. Ha conosciuto Nelson Mandela e ha fatto parte attivamente del movimento per la sua liberazione.
La mia famiglia italiana ha visto mio nonno imprigionato e torturato nelle galere di Mussolini, lui morì a 44 anni anche dallo stress di non poter trovare un lavoro adeguato nonostante la decorazione di partigiano con la medaglia d'oro: fu discriminato durante il fascismo e anche dopo... al di là delle chiacchere e degli encomi ricevuti.
Ora tutte queste persone della mia famiglia non hanno visto mai una lira di risarcimento per tutti questi torti ricevuti.
E la mia famiglia serve da esempio, visto che ce ne sono sicuramente tante altre che hanno subito morti e torture di questo tipo.
Ora dico, finita la guerra furono fatti in fretta e furia i processi, furono spartite le torte della geopolitica internazionale. Ma non fu dato un centesimo agli espropriati e ai morti dei campi di sterminio.

Non è stato riconosciuto un centesimo di danno o risarcimento a nessuno.
Forse perché a livelli alti erano tutti d'accordo per orchestrare questo scempio e dividersi il bottino.
Ora c'è lo Stato di Israele che insiste nella colonizzazione forzata del Medio Oriente... ma non farebbe meglio a chiedere per i suoi figli i danni che sono stati fatti a suo tempo in Europa?
Invece di fare mille concorsi sulle vignette di Maometto, non sarebbe meglio far luce su quelle pagine buie dei diritti umani in Europa?
Oppure è già tutto andato sotto silenzio?
La tragedia non è successa 5000 anni fa, ma solo 70 anni fa. Penso che noi non abbiamo ancora avuto giustizia.
In this period of fratricidal struggle in Europe, where Greece rightly recalls the war damage suffered, I think to all expropriations made to Jewish families in Germany and racial laws in Italy ... even for these policies which horrible damages, injustices and many dead, was never made a penny to the dispossessed and the dead killed in death camps.
My family was in Berlin during the time of Hitler: five people lost their lives in the camps: expropriated were their economic activities and all properties. They were educated and rich people, artists and photographers. Their holidays were spent on the snowy valleys of Switzerland (and this already in the nineteenth century).
They survived by a miracle because a grandfather had British passports. The grandfather, from entrepreneur who he was, found himself living in England by adjusting clocks and umbrellas.
My father-in-law, who was his son, did his military service to the United Kingdom and has always been a human rights activist. He met Nelson Mandela and has been an active part of the movement for his release.
My Italian family saw my grandfather imprisoned and tortured in jails of Mussolini, he died at 44 years even for the stress of not being able to find an adequate job despite the partisan decoration with Gold Medal: he was discriminated during fascism and also after ... beyond chat and received commendation.
Now all these people in my family have not ever seen a penny of compensation for all these wrongs received.
And my family serves as example, given that there are surely many more who have suffered deaths and torture of this type.
Now I say, after the war were made in haste tried were was shared the cakes of international geopolitics. But it was not given a penny to the dispossessed and the dead of extermination camps.

Perhaps because high levels were all agreed to orchestrate this destruction and divide the spoils.
Now there is the State of Israel that insists on forced settlement in the Middle East ... but would do better to ask for their children the damages that were done at that time in Europe?
Instead of making a thousand contests over cartoons of Muhammad, would it not be better to shed some light on those dark pages of human rights in Europe?
Or everything already is gone unnoticed?

Gli orrori della persecuzione antiebraica (e non solo antiebraica) sono accaduti a metà del secolo scorso. Dunque volendo c'era la possibilità di restituire il maltolto agli espropriati. Non potevano essere riportati in vita gli ammazzati dei campi di sterminio. Comunque si poteva restituire ciò che era stato tolto da un punto di vista materiale. Invece si è scelto di non restituire nulla a chi ha perso tutto a causa del regime totalitario. In realtà i beni sottratti agli espropriati fanno ancora parte dei tesori degli eredi del regime nazista. E tengono in vita il sistema dell'economia così com'è. Invece di restituire il maltolto agli espropriati si è preferito avventurarsi in nuove guerre. E così le ingiustizie continuano. Poi, se mancano focolai di guerra... vengono incentivati organizzando e armando gruppi di terroristi.
The horrors of the Jewish persecution (and not just anti-Jewish) have occurred in the last century. So we are wishing there was a chance to return the stolen goods to the dispossessed. They could not be brought back to life the slain of the extermination camps. However it was possible to give back what had been taken from a material point of view. Instead they chose to return nothing to those who have lost everything because of the totalitarian regime. In reality the goods stolen from the dispossessed are still part of the treasures of the heirs of the Nazi regime. And these treasures are keeping alive the economic system as it is. Instead of returning the stolen goods to the expropriated they preferred to venture into new wars. And so the injustices continue. Then, if there are not enough outbreaks of war ... they are encouraged by organizing and arming terrorist groups. (Text added today, February 2nd 2017).
