Oggi Cristo muore - Today Christ dies

Oggi Cristo muore surgelato in un angolo di strada, oppure muore, ancora bambino, sotto le bombe di una guerra senza perché. Oggi Cristo muore perché non ha i soldi per comprarsi il pane al supermercato, oppure perché si sente solo, dimenticato. Oggi Cristo muore perché da un pezzo non lo cerca nessuno, arrivano soltanto le bollette che non può più pagare.

E intanto in una lussuosa chiesa, o in un tempio ben pulito e illuminato, altre persone ben vestite e profumate circondate da altre che stan con loro solo per convenienza, pregano perché si presenti presto un nuovo Cristo o un nuovo Buddha a illuminare il cammino.

Today Christ dies frozen in a street corner, or dies, as a child, under the bombs of a war without reason. Today Christ is dying for lack of money to buy bread at the supermarket, or because he/she feels alone, forgotten. Today Christ dies because no one is talking to him/her for a long time and come only bills that he/she can no longer pay.

Meanwhile, in a luxurious church, or clean and well-lit temple, well-dressed and scented people surrounded by others who are with them just for convenience, are praying that will soon arrive a new Christ or Buddha to enlighten the way.
